Just a quick update here.
Had to change login info as someone decided to use this journal to post some Russian crap.

So, if anyone is still roaming through here. No, that was not me.

The Necromancer (Johannes Cabal, #1)The Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Not a perfect book. With plot holes and super interesting unresolved issues. But my god, I loved it.

Was it the antagonistic main character?
Was it the angst over everything Johannes did.
Was it Horst charm?
Was it its vision of Lucifer and Hell? (Both evil and entertaining)

I can't say. But I love it.

YES, I LOVED this book.

And it never hurt that I couldn't get Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston as Johannes and Horst.

Give it a chance.

Can't wait for the other books.

My island of Puerto Rico is at the edge of an economic collapse. The government and their rampant corruption is taxing the population without care. Because we are an US territory, the island can't declare bankruptcy like the states can. Leaving us at the mercy of local, inept and plain idiotic politicians. By signing the petition, I'm not asking for anyone who is not from the island to get into our business. All I ask, is that by signing the petition, you will help us force the White House to respond and tell us why aren't they helping more when is clear that if this was happening in any other state, the federal government would have intervened a long time ago.

Im getting bored at work, the annoying  kind. Is not a bad place to work, is just sometines feel like i should be doing something  else... something real, something that  would leave me satisfied after a long day.

Something challenging. .. not  just going through the motions.

Psychic Intelligence: Tune In and Discover the Power of Your IntuitionPsychic Intelligence: Tune In and Discover the Power of Your Intuition by Terry Jamison

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It is an interesting book if you are into meditating, using your inner strength and dealing with people's energies. It does cover the whole "psychic" aspect, but they do it in such a way that is both easy and reachable. With none of the whole "fortune teller" insight that we have come to associate with the term "psychic".

It is more a book about working and training your intuition. Which has nothing to do with anything paranormal/supernatural. It did get a little off towards the end, but as a whole was very good

Island of the Sequined Love NunIsland of the Sequined Love Nun by Christopher Moore

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked the story and all of the characters... I even saw Chris Pratt as Tuck. But sometimes Christopher Moore has trouble maintaining a pace, and when it slips it goes all over the place. That puts me off, maybe that is the reason it took me so long to finish.

You Suck (A Love Story, #2)You Suck by Christopher Moore

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

What was the point of this book? Really?

I mean, the characters are still likable, but the story was a mess. Will read the next one, but not now.

I need time off from this vampire world.
